Course Description

This workshop is focused on mastering the depiction of hands and feet. This workshop is designed for any student who wishes to improve their life drawing skills or is interested in honing their proficiency in depicting the human figure in greater detail.
Hands and feet tend to be the most challenging and complex forms of the human figure and do not often receive enough time or focus in basic and mid-level figure drawing classes. This workshop focuses on the skeletal and muscular structures that underlie and inform the surface topography of the outer-most limbs. Through anatomical study, observation and drawing exercises, students will gain more understanding of the hands and feet, which will result in more anatomically accurate, naturalistic, and expressive drawings of the human figure.
Enrolled students will receive a list of required materials before the class begins.  There will be a 1-hour break for lunch.
