Course Description

This course examines current and emerging health issues in developing and industrialized countries. Students learn to define the nature, determinants, and impact of selected health problems in selected countries and describe the pattern of morbidity and mortality at country level and by geographic region. Students are introduced to data sources and health service delivery. Considerations at the local, national, and regional levels, including sources of funding, the role of culture in health and disease, and the global impact of health, are explored.

Basic Enrollment Requirements: Unofficial Transcript - Bachelor's. You will be contacted after registration for required evidence of immunization.
