EM 0211 - Lean Six Sigma (Option to Earn a Black Belt Certificate)
Course Description
With the option to earn a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate, this course provides principles and methods for process improvement by eliminating non-value added work and by reducing output variability. Tools include the define-measure-analyze-improve-control problem-solving methodology, statistical process control, statistically designed experiments and risk identification and mitigation strategies.

In order to qualify for the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Tufts Gordon Institute, you will need to: 1) take this course for “graduate credit” (i.e. you cannot audit the course) and receive at least a grade of B- for the course, and 2) within 3 months after the end of the semester, be able to successfully execute the course project, with documented evidence of process improvement results (for example, a signed letter from the project sponsor at the organization).
Basic Enrollment Requirements: Unofficial Transcript - Bachelor's + 3.0 GPA.
