Course Description

Introduction to fundamental concepts in physiology as they relate to human survival. Explores the physiological limits of human survival from the tallest mountains to the deepest seas, and other extreme circumstances, such as outer space. Topics include extreme climates, ranging from hot to cold and from dry to wet, climate change, as well as diseases, epidemics, and pandemics. Does not satisfy Biology major requirements.

Basic Enrollment Requirements:

Academic Year (Fall/Spring): Unofficial Transcript – High School Diploma or current high school transcript (for high school students only in applicable classes), Bachelor’s Degree, or progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree + 3.0 GPA.

Summer Session: None.
