Course Description
Success today hinges on identifying, understanding, and managing the complex web of stakeholders that influence projects, programs, and decisions. This course equips you with the tools to identify key stakeholders, navigate power dynamics, and prepare you to think strategically about engagement to build stronger coalitions and improve project success.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify and list both obvious and non-intuitive stakeholders in various sectors, including for-profit, non-profit, and social entrepreneurship.
- Describe the influence and power dynamics of different stakeholders and explain how they can impact business goals and decisions.
- Recognize how stakeholder maps can be used to illustrate relationships, influences, and potential conflicts among stakeholders in a variety of professional scenarios.
- Recognize the impact of stakeholder involvement in real-world business case studies across different industries.
- Describe the risks involved with identifying and managing stakeholders.
Basic Enrollment Requirements: The stakeholder engagement course is suitable for working professionals and aspiring professionals of any career level.
Completion Requirements: The stakeholder engagement course is self-paced. Learners will need to complete the course by the designated end date of the term they enroll in (please see section details on the right.) Upon successful completion, learners will receive a digital skill badge. It is estimated that this course will take 6 hours to complete. Learners who enroll for the stakeholder engagement course ahead of the start date will be given access to the course on the listed start date. For learners who enroll after the listed start date, access to the course will be given within 72 hours of enrollment.
