Course Description

An interdisciplinary, social science approach to the study of American political conservatism. Drawing from philosophy, psychology, political science, and economics, study works of contemporary conservative thinkers as well as social science research that are emphasized by conservative thinkers. Examination of what conservatives think and the assumptions and values that underlie their perspectives. Topics include both public policies (e.g., family, religion, affirmative action, taxation) and conservative worldviews about the role of an individual, a community, and a nation.

Basic Enrollment Requirements: 

Academic Year (Fall/Spring): Unofficial Transcript – Bachelor’s Degree or progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree + 3.0 GPA.

Summer: None.
