Course Description
Embark on a dynamic and engaging Spanish language experience that focuses on developing basic oral and written communication, while gradually improving on linguistic accuracy.
In our interactive sessions, held three times a week via Zoom, we'll dive headfirst into the world of Spanish conversation and beginner proficiency skills. Get ready to unleash your creativity as we explore the fundamentals of the language and its diverse cultures through exciting projects, in-class tasks, and quick learning checks.
By the end of the course, you'll have the confidence to express yourself in basic Spanish, covering everything from greetings to university life, family relations, hobbies, travel, and even ordering at a restaurant or buying groceries! Students will also receive personalized feedback from the professor, ensuring that their oral and written skills continue to improve with each session.

Each week, this course has three required synchronous video conversations and in-class practice sessions on MWR from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Additionally, students will complete asynchronous assignments to practice and refine their lexical and grammatical skills.
Basic Enrollment Requirements:
Academic Year (Fall/Spring): Unofficial Transcript – High School Diploma or current high school transcript (for high school students only in applicable classes), Bachelor’s Degree, or progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree + 3.0 GPA.
