Course Description

Introduction to analysis and problem solving in statics and dynamics. Equilibrium of particles and rigid bodies in two and three dimensions. Vector and matrix analysis. Force-moment balance equations. Applications include trusses, frames, machines, beams, and friction problems. Kinematics and kinetics of particles and rigid bodies. Newton's equation, impulse-momentum, work and energy, Centroids and moments of inertia.Recommendations: MATH00 32 Calculus I  and PHY 0011 General Physics I (w/Lab) or similar courses.
